The hotel is a sought after destination for honeymooners and grown-ups seduced by the tranquility of this timeless Eden. It welcomes couples in the most romantic hideaway in Mauritius. Refresh to a cool sea breeze and admire the endless panoramas to the faraway islands, whilst sipping a fresh fruit cocktail, embracing this blissful moment with the loved one. Grand-Gaube is a typical fishing village. Historically, this is where local fishing boats, known as pirogues, were built. You see these boats in all their glory during regattas organized by the village. From the hotel, guest can walk along the beach and past the small rocky inlets that characterize the area. Strolling along the narrow streets of the village, they will hear Kreol being spoken – a language rich in imagery and musicality. Just in front of the hotel, guests will find a bus stop where they can catch a bus leaving for neighbouring villages. Goodlands is the first stop. Keep going further and they will come to Mapou where they can visit the Château de Labourdonnais – a stunning, beautifully restored vestige of the island’s colonial past. In its garden, they can taste the rum being distilled on the grounds or wander through its mango orchards. The resort is located at the North-East tip of the island and so allows guests to explore the area by foot or taxi or hire car, or, if they really want to taste local colour, they can jump on a public bus.

The resort was modernised in 2017. Guests have a choice of 81 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A currency exchange service, a library, a car hire service, a conference room, a projector and a flip chart and pens are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided to guests. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a hotel shuttle bus.
